Cream Cheese Cookies
Store in refrigerator. 16 cookies.
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine, softened
1 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease square pan, 8x8x2 inches. Beat Brown sugar and margarine until fluffy. Stir in Bisquick and walnuts until mixture is crumbly, reserve one cup.
- Press remaining mixture in pan. Bake 12 minutes. Mix cream cheese and sugar; beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over layer in pan; sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture.
- Bake until center is firm, about 25 minutes. Cut into 2-inch squares.
